A method for restoring the intestinal continuity after Hartman surgery with the aid of the circular suturing apparatus provides for separation of the intestine with then stoma and the stump of rectum, the application of the purse-string suture to the afferent intestinal loop, and insertion of the circular suturing apparatus to the stump of rectum. In addition, the proximal division of the stump of rectum is resected within the range of the normal tissues following the application of the purse-string suture to the resection limits. The suture is tied up around the head of the circular suturing apparatus inserted into the afferent intestinal loop. The end-to-end anastomosis is applied. |
