<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte battery which is improved in safety at the time of deformation by an external physical force. <P>SOLUTION: The non-aqueous electrolyte battery is equipped with a positive electrode 2, a negative electrode 4, a separator 3 which is arranged between the positive electrode 2 and the negative electrode 4 and is made of a cellulose nonwoven fabric having a through-hole to satisfy formula (1): b/a≥10, and a non-aqueous electrolyte carried by the separator 3.
