<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the power generating performance of a fuel cell by humidifying the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 100 comprises an electrolyte membrane 210, a first gas flow path 260 provided on the first face side of the electrolyte membrane, a second gas flow path 270 provided on the second face side of the electrolyte membrane 210, and a refrigerant flow path 555. The direction of the flow of first reaction gas in the first gas flow path 260 is opposed to the direction of the flow of second reaction gas in the second gas flow path 270. For the in-plane temperature distribution of the electrolyte membrane 210, the refrigerant flow path 555 is so constructed that the temperature at a downstream portion of the flow of one of the first reaction gas and the second reaction gas is relatively higher than the temperature at the other portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
