The present invention relates to a method for producing copper, the method comprising a step of: using copper ions in a concentration of between 1 and 10% and an acid component in a concentration of between 1 and 2M, using industrial wastewater; and adding thereto an iron component and reacting same. According to the present invention, copper was produced by a relatively simple method, and in a shorter time than is conventional, by using industrial wastewater such as iron-making wastewater, gold-mine wastewater and ore-stamp wastewater. The copper produced in accordance with the present invention has been confirmed to be highly pure, with a purity of at least 99.9%. Accordingly, the copper produced in accordance with the present invention can be expected to be usable in a wide range of uses such as use as an electronic material, an industrial base material, and a mineral component important for the human body. |
