Provided are an optical appearance inspection device capable of achieving a reduction in the number of cameras to be used, downsizing of the device itself, and performing various kinds of inspections in a short time without requiring operating time, for example, for moving the cameras, and an optical appearance inspection system using the same. The optical appearance inspection device comprises an image capturing means for capturing an image of an object to be inspected, and a processing means for analyzing/determining the presence or absence of a defect in the appearance of the object to be inspected, using the captured image captured by the image capturing means. The processing means acquires the captured image from the image capturing means, and analyzes changes in color and/or brightness between respective pieces of image data relating to a plurality of lines respectively selected from regions in which mutually different intensities of light are applied to the object to be inspected, to thereby determine the presence or absence of defects in the appearance of the object to be inspected. |
