A modular system constituted by structural elements for creation of green roofs and green walls is made up of a plurality of containers with quadrangular layout, articulated in the form of trays that communicate with one another in order to ensure proper hydraulic continuity inside the containers, the containers having a filling constituted by materials that favour the growth of plants, such as expanded perlite, and are completed by a top closing layer that has the function of separation and filtration element in regard to a growing medium that is laid thereon, albeit enabling passage within the containers themselves of the roots of the various species grown. In this way, the perlite guarantees proper circulation of air and water for the roots, and the thickness of the top growing medium can be reduced. For assembly, the top closing layer has flaps projecting on two contiguous sides, which are sufficient to guarantee, when the modules are laid alongside one another in sequence, perfect continuity of said layer obtained by simple superposition of the flaps provided on two sides of one module on sides without flaps of the contiguous modules, which enables creation of green surfaces on sealed areas, whether plane or inclined. |
