PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery for which a process for aging a positive electrode having a high potential for lithium ion insertion/elimination reaction under a low potential atmosphere having a potential lower than the potential thereof is speedily and simply performed without using a charge and discharge device, that is performed in order to improve stability of charge and discharge cycles, and a method of performing it.SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery has an enclosure body in which a positive electrode comprising a first electrode, a second electrode having a lower potential for lithium ion insertion/elimination reaction than that of the first electrode, a nonaqueous electrolyte, a negative electrode, and a separator made of an electrical insulation material are enclosed, a terminal is connected to each of the first electrode, the second electrode, and the negative electrode, and the terminal has a terminal extension part extending to the outside of the enclosure body. The terminal extension part of the first positive electrode has no electrical continuity with the terminal extension part of the second positive electrode, and the terminal has a short-circuit part for short-circuiting the first positive electrode and the second positive electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
