PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably and rationally achieve assistance of traveling by a motor, in a bicycle comprising a structure for traveling by stepping on a pedal downward.SOLUTION: Left-side switch means 222 and right-side switch means 223 are configured by including first and second switches 222a, 223a, 222b, 223b, respectively, so that a motor 22 applies auxiliary rotation forces of a range which prevents a bicycle from traveling at a speed exceeding a predetermined first speed when the first switches 222a, 223a are closed, and the motor 22 applies auxiliary rotation forces of a range which prevents a bicycle from running at a speed exceeding a predetermined second speed larger than the first speed when the second switches 222b, 223b are closed. The first switches 222a, 223a are closed when the pedal 2 is stepped on by a force less than a predetermined stepping force, and the second switches 222b, 223b are closed when the pedal 2 is stepped on by a force exceeding a predetermined stepping force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
