A feeding device for a grain dryer comprises a rotating feeder (2), a slit (A) provided between the feeder and a bottom wall (3); a supporting shaft (6) parallel to the shaft of the feeder and supported by the walls of the grain dryer, one of the bottom wall (3) being fixed to said supporting shaft; an adjusting arm (7) for adjusting the position of the bottom wall (3) and hence the size of the slit; and a spring member (8) which allows the bottom wall (3) to be pivoted temporarily beyond a determined position. Lever (10) can be pivotted about shaft (6) by arm (7), which is pivotted to the lever (10), and this moves lever (9), which is fixed the shaft (6), via the tension in spring (8). The spring allows rotation of bottom wall (3) in the event of an over-size object passing under feeder (2). <IMAGE> |
