The apparatus has a parallelepiped bread dough preparing and cooking area closed by a lid. A removable cooking tank (50) is arranged in the preparing and cooking area in association with a dough mixing unit. An electric heating unit (40) is arranged in an inner periphery of the preparing and cooking area for heating the preparing and cooking area. Platforms (120, 130) contain dough outside of the tanks in case of overflow of the dough during operation of the apparatus.
