<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe mobile gait training machine and a walking assist machine to be self-travelled together with a trainee or walker by securely executing the emergency control when the trainee or walker loses balance and preventing the trainee or walker from falling down. <P>SOLUTION: The gait training machine has a self-propelling device inside a body 1 to be self-propelled for the gait training with the trainee, whose upper arms are supported, standing in a mobile training space S within the body 1. The gait training machine includes a seat part 2 disposed lower than the waist of the trainee inside the mobile training space S for supporting the falling trainee, a detecting part 3 for detecting the displacement/inclination/applied pressure of the seat 2 caused by the falling trainee and generating detection signals, and a running control part for stopping the automatic running or changing the content of the automatic running according to the detection signals from the detection part 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
