PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a piping system by separating a printing head changeably mounted in a carriage from a liquid tank, and supplying liquid in the tank to a buffer tank on the carriage coupled with the head as needed. SOLUTION: When a residual liquid sensor 23 detects that liquid in a buffer tank 13 becomes a predetermined residue or less, a carriage 11 is moved to a liquid supplying position to block a liquid delivering part 14 and a liquid introducing part 19, while a branch tube 21 is opened, a vacuum pump 20 is operated, and the tank 13 is evacuated in vacuum. At the time when the tank 13 arrives at a predetermined vacuum degree, the pump 20 is stopped, a solenoid switching valve 22 is switched to a closed state, and solenoid switching valves 18, 28 are switched to open states. Thus, the liquid 12 in the tank 24 is instantaneously sucked to all area in the tank 13 through a liquid supply tube 29 and the introducing part 19, and held in the state that it is impregnated to an ink absorber. |
