An electric machine includes a stator, a rotor positioned adjacent the stato r and rotatable with respect to the stator, and a housing that at least partially surrounds the stator. An enclosure is coupled to the housing and includes a first compartment and a second compartment. A plurality of fins are positioned within the second compartment and a fan is coupled to the rotor and directs a flow of air through the second compartment.
