PURPOSE: An internet phone service method using a voice mailing system is provided to abbreviate input procedures of connection numbers and to supply supplementary functions of a call or message reservation, a voice mailing service, and so on. CONSTITUTION: A personal communication network and a public switched telephone network having a voice mailing system(VMS) are connected to gateways(214, 216) which are connected with each other through the internet(230) so as to provide an internet phone service to subscribers. A wireless call subscriber connects to a VMS by calling(301) one's own call number and inputting a secret number, and selects(302) an internet phone service. The VMS authenticates the wireless call subscriber by exchanging information with a gateway, and outputs a voice message so that the subscriber can select the function to be wanted in the internet phone service, if the subscriber is a legitimate one. If the subscriber selects(303) the function to be wanted, the corresponding function(310-370) is performed according to a predetermined procedure. Thereby, a subscriber can use an international call at a low charge by using an internet phone service, and is provided with various functions of a direct call, a call or message reservation, a voice mailing service, a charge inquiry, and so on.
