PURPOSE: A high capacity sulfur anode for a lithium battery, a method for manufacturing the sulfur anode, and a lithium battery using the sulfur anode are provided to reduce the manufacturing cost and the manufacturing time of a lithium battery. CONSTITUTION: A sulfur anode for a lithium battery is comprised of a mixture of an active material comprised of a sulfur-based substance and a polymer electrolyte which is used as an electric ion conductive material and an ion conductive material. The sulfur-based substance is selected from a crystal sulfur, a non-crystal sulfur, CS, and MS. C is carbon, S is sulfur, and M is a transition metal. The weight of the sulfur-based substance is ten to forty weight percent. The sulfur anode has a discharging capacity of more than ninety percent. |
