<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor which is excellent in impact resistance and in wear resistance and is driven with high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic motor is provided with: an object to be driven; a piezoelectric element 50 for driving the object; a vibration plate 21 which includes a notch 61 having an inner peripheral surface of an arc-shaped form having a central angle larger than 180 degrees and is vibrated by the piezoelectric element 50; and a contact portion 60 which is made of a material different from that of the vibration plate 21, has a portion overlapping the piezoelectric element 50 in a plane view having a smaller thickness than that of the vibration plate 21, is attached to the notch 61 of the vibration plate 21 by press fitting or forced fitting, and contacts with the driven object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
