<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a sender to check a result of image processing executed in a server before sending it to a receiver (destination) or on a real time basis as sending it to the receiver, in an image transmission system for image-processing an image sent from a sending terminal in an image processing server and sending the processed image to a receiver. <P>SOLUTION: A sending cellular telephone 1 sends data on an original image to the image processing server 4, and the image processing server 4 processes the image. In the process, a TCP connection is maintained between the cellular telephone 1 and the image processing server 4. The image processing server 4 stores the processed image in a memory, and returns the processing result to the sending cellular telephone 1 via the maintained TCP connection.
