PIPING PERIPHERAL WELD ZONE OBSERVATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping peripheral weld zone observation apparatus capable of grasping the whole of the peripheral weld zone of piping located in a narrow part as images and easily evaluating and confirming its soundness. SOLUTION: The piping peripheral weld zone observation apparatus is composed of: an image pickup device 30 for the weld zone in the peripheral direction of the surface of piping; and an image display device 200. The device 30 for the weld zone in the peripheral direction of the surface of piping is composed of: two supporting boards 22 as a pair confronted with piping 1 interposed and moving in a state where both are integrated, and in which smooth faces to form into the ones for setting base axes to the piping are formed; cameras 20 each fixed to a camera supporting body 21 for angle regulation provided at the two places in the edge parts of each supporting board and picking up the images of the weld zone in the peripheral direction of the surface of piping from four directions; and a tilting member 25 tilting the supporting boards 22 to the axial direction of the piping. Further, the image image device 200 is composed of: a control bar 31 holding the image pickup device for the weld zone in the peripheral direction; a composited image formation part fetching the taken-up images from the four directions of the weld zone in the peripheral direction, and forming the composited images of all the periphery from the fetched images from each direction; and an image display part displaying the composited images.
