<p>A memory device with a control chip having compatible configure function and a manufacturing method thereof are provided in the present invention. The memory device includes the control chip and several storage mediums interconnect. The control chip includes a processor, and the storage medium includes a firmware memory and RAM, and the firmware memory includes at least two groups, a ROM storing a fixed part program and a programmed memory storing a configure code firmware. According to a preferred embodiment of the prevent invention, the ROM storing the fixed part program is set within the control chip and the programmed memory storing the configure code firmware is set outside the control chip. The manufacturing method includes the following steps: A. connecting the control chip and the user storage medium , which are connected to the manufacturing computer; B. detecting the type and the capacity of the user memory; C. finishing the manufacture of the finished product memory device according to the detecting result. The present invention can support all kinds of the storage medium at present and future, and has well versatility.</p> |
