<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for preventing a buried object from being rusted near the surface of the ground capable of effectively preventing the part of the stay of a guard rail near the surface of the ground from being rusted. <P>SOLUTION: In this construction method, the stay 1 of the guard rail is buried in an asphalt, a mortar, or a concrete 2 for supporting. After a heat-shrinkable tube 4 is fitted to the part 3 of the stay 1 near the surface of the ground, the heat-shrinkable tube 4 is heated for shrinkage.
