<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform communication by preventing a communication time from being prolonged uselessly. <P>SOLUTION: In the interrogator, a reader 1 of a radio tag communication system 100 exchanging information with a plurality of radio tags T includes: a crystal vibrator 215A, PLL 215B and VCO 215C for generating a carrier wave; a transmission multiplication circuit 216 which generates a response request command for acquiring radio tag information while searching for it on unfixed conditions by modulating the generated carrier wave; and an RF communication control unit 9 and a reader antenna 3 in which the response request command is transmitted to the radio tags T and response signals redirected from the plurality of radio tags T while being divided into a plurality of identification slots in response to the transmitted response request command can be received while being divided into a plurality of identification slots, wherein the number M of the identification slots is set based on a hop frequency f(N) of the carrier wave. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
