PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently warm a hard disk device. SOLUTION: When the inside of a hard disk device 1 is in a low-temperature state, driving of a spindle motor 12 and an actuator are stopped, and a pseudo-signal is generated by a pseudo signal generating circuit 41. Same signal processing as signal processing during reading performed for a signal indicating data actually read from a magnetic disk 13 or the same signal processing as the signal processing during writing performed for a signal supplied from an external device 2 as the signal indicating data written in the magnetic disk 13 are performed for the pseudo-signal, generated by the pseudo-signal generating circuit 41, and the inside of the hard disk device 1 is warmed by the heat radiated by a circuit board 11 performing such signal processing.
