A method and an apparatus for providing advertisement to a portable terminal, and a system thereof are provided for the portable terminal to output tacit advertisement data according to tacit advertisement output conditions, thereby minimizing the inconvenience of a user watching advertisement. A controller receives multimedia data from an MMS(Multimedia Message Server) and analyzes the received multimedia message to detect and store advertisement(301). The controller confirms whether the current state of a portable terminal satisfies the output conditions of a preset tacit advertisement(303). The controller searches advertisement data (305). When a condition of outputting tacitly the tacit advertisement and the tacit advertisement output conditions are satisfied, the controller produces and outputs a pop-up window including searched advertisement data(307).
