PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-cleaning component which can exhibit an excellent cleaning performance over an extended period, and a method for manufacturing the self-cleaning component.SOLUTION: A self-cleaning component is equipped with a linear fine uneven layer 1 which has, on a surface thereof, a linear fine uneven shape 3 in which plural linear salients 2 parallel to one another are extended in one direction or substantially one direction and which comprises a cured product of a resin composition. In the linear fine uneven shape 3, an average value pof a distance p between adjacent linear salients is equal to or less than 500nm. On the surface having the linear fine uneven shape 3 of the linear fine uneven layer 1, a static contact angle of water is equal to or less than 30°, and is smaller than a static contact angle of n-hexadecane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
