PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus comprising: an image carrier 21 that carries a toner image; a conveyance belt 241 that is in contact with the image carrier 21 to form a nip and conveys sheets through the position of the nip A1; a transfer roller 242 that transfers a toner image to a sheet S at the nip position A1; and a tension roller 244 that has the conveyance belt 241 laid thereover at a separation position A3 on the downstream side in a sheet conveyance direction with respect to the nip position A1 and at which the sheet S is separated from the conveyance belt 241, and prevent separation discharge when the rear end of the sheet S is separated from the conveyance belt 241 and in turn prevent scattering of toner.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus applies a voltage having a reverse polarity to a charge polarity of toner to a tension roller 244, and includes a conductive opposing member 28 that is arranged opposite to the tension roller 244 with a conveyance belt 241 held therebetween.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
