<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/playback apparatus capable of preventing reservation from being canceled or modified by the other user by limiting users who are permitted to perform mail reservations on the basis of addresses. <P>SOLUTION: A video recorder performs a recording reservation based on electronic mail transmitted from a control terminal connectable to the Internet. The video recorder includes: a storage section for storing a reservation permission mail address of the control terminal; and a CPU for extracting a transmission source mail address when receiving recording reservation cancellation mail from the control terminal, and permitting the recording reservation cancellation based on verification between the extracted mail address and the reservation permission mail address stored in the storage section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
