The present invention is related to means or devices used for fastening and attaching commercial products, more particularly the invention refers to a novel strap for attaching and fastening bales and the like, which is characterised in that it consists of a strap having a predetermined thickness, width and length, and accurately cut in the required length, the strap comprising a fastening eye located at an end portion thereof and a means for retaining and attaching the eye at the opposite end portion thereof; the inventive strap is located around the product while the fastening eye is attached to the retaining and attaching means of the opposite end portion, thus retaining the product; said retaining and attaching means of the fastening eye consists of a buckle formed by a square perforated at the centre portion, wherein one side thereof is fastened by an eye practiced at one side portion of the strap, the square also comprising at the opposite side a groove for enabling the access o f the fastening eye to the opposite portion of the strap so as to attach both end portions in a quick, efficient and safe manner.
