PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method of operating a network traffic policing module.SOLUTION: An apparatus and method of operating a network traffic policing module 44 includes a data ingress port 36 configured to receive data frames transmitted over a network 24, a data egress port 38 configured to transmit a set of the data frames to a network switch, and a logic device 48 configured to execute a set of compliance tests on the data frames received at the data ingress port 36 and transmit to the data egress port 38 only a set of data frames that are compliant with the set of compliance tests.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
