Proposed is a sponge made of two layers which are formed by the walls of a fine-fiber luffa fruit. Each layer consists of at least part of a wall of a luffa fruit with its adjoining radial connecting members, wherein the layers are adjoined to one another with the radial connecting members facing each other, and are connected along the perimeter by a seam located under edging made of webbing or fabric. Retaining the sturdy structure of the wall of a luffa fruit in the layers of a sponge enhances the strength thereof while maintaining elasticity. |
