CONSTITUTION: A translation parameter for specifying a format and an input vertex packet provided with geometry input data for defining a geometry object are received through a host bus 28 and the input vertex packet is stored in an packet buffer 542. The input vertex packet is read, a re-formatted vertex packet is generated, the input vertex packet is translated corresponding to the translation parameter and the re-formatted vertex packet is incorporated in a vertex register 549. An output geometry packet is generated from the re-formatted vertex packet, the re-formatted vertex packet is translated corresponding to the translation parameter and the output geometry packet is transferred through a command - floating point processor bus 82 to a floating point processor. |
