<p>Genetically modified culture plant or culture plant cells with reduced myo-inositoxygenase (MIOX) activity than the wild-type plants or wild-type plant cells comprising at least one foreign nucleic acid molecule coding for at least one translation inhibitor for at least two MIOX-genes under the control of a promoter or at least one mutation within at least two MIOX and/or the promoter, for reducing the significant in vivo activity of MIOX of the plant or plant cell, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) seed(s) prepared from the culture plant or culture plant cell; and (2) a method for preparing nematode-resistant culture plants or culture plant cells comprising providing at least one foreign nucleic acid molecule coding for at least one translation inhibitor for at least two MIOX-genes under the control of a promoter or introducing at least one mutation within at least two MIOX and/or the promoter, where the MIOX activity was reduced against the wild-type plants or wild-type plant cells.
