EXCEPTION PROCESSING METHOD IN SOFT FIX CONNECTING TYPE IMAGINARY CHANNEL OF ATM SWITCHING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method capable of preventing a dead lock from being generated when performing an exception process with respect to a call having a plurality of soft permanent virtual channel and path connections is provided. CONSTITUTION: The exception processing method in a soft fix connecting type imaginary channel of an asynchronous transfer mode network, the method comprising the steps of: generating an exception processing signal; detecting a receipt of a response signal in response to the exception processing signal; delaying a predetermined time when the receipt of the response signal is not detected and again generating the exception processing signal; and completing an exception processing operation when the receipt of the response signal is detected.
