PURPOSE: A frequency automatic altering method is provided to prevent a deterioration in sensitivity of a received signal during moving one area to another area having a different broadcasting frequency with respect to a same channel. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: storing broadcasting frequencies corresponding to areas with respect to a selected channel; when moving one area to another area during receiving a radio broadcasting with respect to a specific channel, receiving a channel information of a moved current area from a navigation system of a car; reading out a frequency corresponding to the moved current area from a memory; and altering the frequency of the old area into the frequency of the moved current area read out from the memory. Thereby, a stable sensitivity in the received broadcasting signal can be maintained.
