There is provided a method for prophylaxis or treatment of asthma in an individual. The method comprises administering to the individual an effective amount of a Non-typable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi) vaccine. One or more embodiments are particularly suitable for prophylaxis or treatment of intrinsic asthma. The vaccine is typically an oral whole killed NTHi vaccine.
