PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint for piping which can be connected without applying machining to a tip portion of a pipe member before connection of the pipe member and which can be inserted without flawing the pipe member in insertion of the pipe member. SOLUTION: The joint 1 for a metal pipe connecting metal pipes 2 in a loosening prevented state as the pipe member is provided with a joint body 4, a nut member 5 screwed and connected to the joint body 4, and a holding ring 5 having an engagement pawl 31 engaging to an outer circumference of the metal pipe 2 and preventing loosening. In connection of the metal pipe 2, after inserting the metal pipe 2, the nut member 5 is screwed to the join body 4, the holding ring 5 is deformed in a diametrally reducing side by an annular inclined face 18 formed on the joint body 4 and an annular inclined fastening face 22 formed on the nut member 5, the engagement pawl 31 of the holding ring 5 bites into an outer circumferential face of the metal pipe 2, and the metal pipe 2 is connected in the loosening prevented state. |
