<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web handling device capable of handling a specific web properly by setting tensile force acting on the web. <P>SOLUTION: In a first surface treatment process 54, tensile force of the web W is kept at strong force by a second dancer roll 52. In a first application process 74, since the web W is pressed against a bar 75A for application when the same tensile force as that in the first surface treatment process 54 acts on the web W and transfer of application liquid to the web W is not satisfactorily performed, tensile force acting on the web W in the first application process 74 is reduced than tensile force acting on the web W in the first surface treatment process 54 by a fifth dancer roll 76. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
