<p>Disclosed is a steel material having excellent high temperature properties and excellent toughness. The steel material comprises the following components (by mass): C: 0.005-0.030%, Si: 0.05-0.40%, Mn: 0.40-1.70%, Nb: 0.02-0.25%, Ti: 0.005-0.025%, N: 0.0008-0.0045%, B: 0.0003-0.0030%, P: 0.030% or less, S: 0.020% or less, and Al: 0.03% or less, the remainder being Fe and unavoidable impurities, wherein a requirement represented by the following formula is satisfied: C-Nb/7.74 <= 0.02. The steel material contains a Ti-containing oxide having a particle diameter of 0.05 to 10μm at a density of 30 to 300 particles/mm2.</p> |
