The invention relates to a device for the diagnosis and/or therapy of functional disorders of the cervical spine, in particular after whiplash injuries, comprising a device (2), for limiting the field of vision of the patient (1), which may be fitted to the head of a patient (1), a tracking system (3), for recording an instantaneous position and orientation of the head of the patient (1), an image representation device (4), for the representation of images or scenes for the patient (1), a controller (5, 7), connected to the image representation device (4), for the generation of an optical signal which moves along a given movement path with a given speed in the represented images or scenes and an EMG measuring system (6), connected to the controller (5, 7), for the detection of a muscular activity in the neck muscles of the patient (1) during the generation and movement of the optical signal. The device improves the quality of diagnosis in whiplash injuries and permits a controlled therapy of said injuries. |
