An actuator for an air conditioner is provided to make pulses uniform by preventing foreign substances on the screw side from being introduced to the commutator side. An actuator for an air conditioner includes a worm screw(11), a worm wheel(12), a commutator(15), and a brush(14). The worm screw is rotated by a drive motor. The worm wheel is rotated by the worm screw and is connected to a door rotating member of the air conditioner to open and close the door. The commutator is installed in the worm screw and is rotated together with the worm screw. The brush makes contact with one side of the commutator to interrupt the flow of current as the commutator is rotated. The actuator includes a lubrication preventing jaw. The lubrication preventing jaw is installed between the worm screw and the commutator. Foreign substances on the worm screw side are prevented from flowing toward the commutator.
