The invention relates to a method for preventing the deposition of calcium fluoride in cooling or processed water. The invention is characterised in that at least one water soluble salt is added to processed water, containing at least one of the following ions: magnesium cations, cations of trivalent metals, anions of oligo or polyphosphate. The invention is also characterised in that it is particularly suitable for use with water which is used in one or more of the following ways: spray-water-cooling in extrusion casting systems, gas cooling, gas cleaning and humid dedusting of gases. |
