PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the direction of a mobile station in simple configuration and to radiate radio waves in the direction with directivity.
SOLUTION: First and second signals spread by spreading code orthogonal to each other are transmitted from two antennas disposed at positions separated just for a distance equal to an antenna element interval of an equal-interval linear array antenna. Otherwise, the same signal is transmitted from the two antennas as first and second signals in a time division manner. At a receiver, the first and second signals transmitted from the antennas are received, a phase difference between the received signals is determined, the phase difference ϕ is fed back from the receiver to a base station, and data signals to be inputted to antenna elements of the equal-interval linear array antenna are caused to have the phase difference of ϕ sequentially at a base station transmitter, thereby radiating radio waves toward the receiver with directivity.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
