<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure measuring instrument capable of correctly measuring systolic blood pressure with an oscillometric system (a double cuff system), and to provide a blood pressure measuring method. <P>SOLUTION: The blood pressure measuring instrument includes: a cuff body (1) having a cuff member (2), an ischemic air bag (8) for pressurizing a whole blood pressure measurement part, a sub-air bag (7) for pressurizing the heart side of the blood pressure measurement part, a pulse wave detection air bag (5) for pressurizing the blood vessel downstream side of the blood pressure measurement part and detecting a pulse wave at the downstream side; a pressurizing/depressurizing means (23) connected via tubes (11, 12, 13) for pressurizing/depressurizing the cuff body, a damper device (18), and an opening/closing valve (16); cuff pressure detecting means (31, 32, 33) for obtaining a cuff pressure signal, based on the pressure change of the pulse wave detection air bag; and a pulse wave detecting means (35) for obtaining a pulse wave signal by detecting the pulse wave to be superimposed on the cuff pressure signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
