<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus in which EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene rubber) having improved ink resistance is used and which is excellent in long-term stability and to provide an ink cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus has a recording head having an ink discharge plane, on which a plurality of ink discharge ports for discharging ink are arranged, and is used for printing an image by using the recording head. The EPDM is used in at least one selected from portions of the inkjet recording apparatus to be in contact with the ink, portions thereof to which the ink is stuck, and rubber-based components thereof.
