PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which achieves improvement of a throughput and reduction of an ink amount discarded, and can carry out high-quality recording of. SOLUTION: Driving conditions of an inkjet recording head are set as follows at the time of performing preliminary delivering of the inkjet recording head which can deliver ink liquid droplets of a plurality of sizes. First, if the ink liquid droplets are two kinds in size, minimum pulse widths of pulse signals used for generating ink delivering from the recording head are made values of Pth1 and Pth2 respectively correspondingly to the ink liquid droplets of the large and small sizes, and pulse widths used for the preliminary delivering are made P1 and P2.
