PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic developer which suppresses nonuniform wear of a cleaning blade and a photoreceptor (latent image keeping member) and can prevent in-machine contamination, color dot fogging and void generation in a solid image portion caused as secondary failures over a long time, and an image forming method and an image forming apparatus using the electrophotographic developer. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic developer contains a toner containing colored particles and particles having a charge amount in a range of -0.10 to +0.55 fC/μm, wherein a content of the particles having a charge amount in a range of -0.10 to +0.55 fC/μm in the toner is 0.5-10% by number, and a carrier having an average circularity of 0.98-1.00, a ratio of residual magnetization to saturation magnetization (σr/σs) of 0.05-0.20 and a volume average particle diameter of 25-45 μm.
