<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication terminal, a communication control method, and a control program by which wasteful electric power consumption can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless communication terminal with a hand-over function, and the wireless communication terminal further is provided with a manual setting means for switching the hand-over function between a setup state and a setup-canceled state. Furthermore, in a state where the setup of the hand-over function is canceled, a cell search function is halted.
