<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus, radio communication method, program, and radio communication system. <P>SOLUTION: The radio communication apparatus includes: a communication control section for controlling direct communication with another radio communication apparatus or relay communication via a base station; a data generation section which generates a mode shift notification notifying the other radio communication apparatus, which is a target of the DC communication, about a shift to a low power consumption mode and a switching request notification requesting via the base station switching from the direct communication to the relay communication and generates the mode shift notification to the base station; and a mode control section for shifting an operating mode to the low power consumption mode after responses to all the mode shift notification and the switching request notification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
