<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding method and a winding apparatus for reducing unnecessary swelling in an edgewise bending part upon edgewise bending a straight-angle conductor. <P>SOLUTION: In the winding method, a coil 13 is formed by edgewise bending the straight-angle conductor 10. The apparatus includes a wire delivery mechanism 40 sending the straight-angle conductor 10, a first wire guide 21 and a second wire guide 22, which support the straight-angle conductor 10 in a width direction, and a guide member moving mechanism 26 bringing the second wire guide 22 close to the straight-angle conductor 10 or separating them. Upon sending the straight-angle conductor 10 by the wire delivery mechanism 40, the first wire guide 21 and the second wire guide 22 guide the conductor at width permitting delivery of the straight-angle conductor 10 having width of a maximum value of dimensional tolerance in the width direction. Upon edgewise bending the straight-angle conductor 10, the guide member moving mechanism 26 moves the first wire guide 21 so that it is brought into contact with a side in the width direction of the straight-angle conductor 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
