PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve desired luminance representation while reducing a calculation amount.SOLUTION: A luminance calculation device acquires information of light sources defined by a scene to be drawn, and defines a probability function to be used to determine whether to use the light sources for a luminance calculation about an object located at a prescribed distance from the light sources, corresponding to an attenuation function of luminance corresponding to a distance from the light sources about each of defined light sources. Then, the device determines a probabilistic effective range of the light sources in each of the defined light sources on the basis of the probability function of each of the defined light sources, and performs a luminance calculation about a prescribed object in the scene within the determined probabilistic effective range on the basis of the attenuation function and the probability function of the light sources including the object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
