The present invention relates to a door opening assisting device for a fume hood, which includes: an upper cabinet forming a work space inside, and a lower cabinet supporting the upper cabinet; a door controlling to open and close the work space of the upper cabinet; and an exhaust duct which is installed on an upper part of the upper cabinet, and discharges air in the work space to the outside. An opening manipulation unit delivering pressurizing force using a foot pedal to lift up the closed door is installed in the lower cabinet. Therefore, the present invention has the effect that a worker can minimize excessive force and action to open the door since the worker can open the closed door conveniently by the pressurizing force using a foot.
